Hi BOTAK TeaM,

First, I would like to congratulate you and your staff on your 24th Anniversary!! Cheers guys! You deserve it!! Quality is your World Cup of benchmark!!

As a kid growing in the nearby baryo (by the way I lived in Timog, Quezon City and there learned my fundamentals of basketball) I would see big people throwing in shots and sprinting like hell on the court… They were cheered and being praised very well by people from our place.  One player stood up from the pack. He was one of the standout players during that time… that was the early 80's ---- very short shorts and tight sandos were the fashion statement that time, hehehehehe. Thanks to MJ, he started wearing what we know today as the "style" in hoop wear.

Anyway, I was kid amazed with the sport. There was this guy who played very well --- he was like the magician of the streets --- passing, shooting, dribbling and doing all sorts of power moves. You name it, he got it! Then I realized I was on his every game watching him and cheering for him... Every game I got a plastic with cold water on it called "ice tubig." I would always have it ready during time-outs and end game... win or lose.

I started liking to remove his "cons" shoes every after game... and have his sweat toweled dry out... It was one of the most memorable times for me --- a sit on his lap while those sweats were still pouring out from his body. After that usually came a tap on the butt and him saying "mag bihis ka at pupunta tayo sa fiesta carnival. Tell your nanay na bihisan din mga kapatid mo.”

He was really not just a good player but a wonderful father... and I missed him so much…

By the way I remember their team won the championship and their American manager treated them to Matabungkay beach (I’m sure you still remember that Timog had an American station called JUSMAG).

All their uniforms were made from your PATAHIAN…"BOTAK" and from that day on… I said to myself na someday makakasuot din ako ng jersey made by BOTAK.... and luckily nakaka-2 times na kaming nagpapatahi para sa team namin dito sa Saudi Arabia…

The Marvin Vibar Ka-BOTAK story

It's now Marvs's, (extreme left) time to do the same power moves of his DAD

And so LIKE HIS DAD, Marvin is now equally admired in the hard court. It’s his turn to showcase his power moves and lead a promising basketball team. Being the Team Captain of Animo Saad who plays for various leagues in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, he gets to instill and exercise that basketball is not just a sport, it is a passion. He also played for the Inter-College League during his CEU (Centro Escolar University) years where he obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce.

More so and again, LIKE HIS DAD, Marvs now gets to wear his very own sets of BOTAK!!! It is truly inspiring how he has always been proud of being and wearing Pinoy!

Words are not enough to thank you Marvs and all our Clients who patronize BOTAK for over two decades now.

You know, for me it’s an honor and you know the sense ba na parang proud na proud ka to be Pinoy while flaunting my BOTAK Jersey in downtown Khobar..

‘bangklase ang quality!

Anyway, so much for that part, we all know about the Quality and High Standard of your materials… and yup you are absolutely right,,, it is a Passion... parang craving na hinahanap-hanap mo.

Ganyan ko tingnan ang sport of basketball... there are some who play it, but I worshipped it like religion... everything! Even shoes and apparels all connected to basketball...and really that is true.

My love for this game came from my Tatay who, if am not wrong, played for Inter-Barangay League in our community. They represented Barangay South Triangle, Baranggay Kamuning was one of their opponents.. hehehe.

Just one word of wish para sa inyong Firm....

Continue the Legacy...
Para naman sa mga anak namin… make sure BOTAK will be there. We'll celebrate your Golden Anniversary ok..
